Key Chain Charms

Today I decided to make my first key chains. I made my first charm the other day for a journal and enjoyed it so much that I decided to add some to key rings. I used different beads and charms from my stash. Then I used head pins, key rings and some chain from Wal-Mart. They are really easy to do and I love that I was able to personalize them with colors that my friends like and charms of things that they collect or are important to them in their everyday life.
This one is for my friend who is a Florida Gator fan (orange and blue are their colors) and he lives everyday for the Lord (so I added the cross).

This one is for my god-daughter to give to her mom, for Mother's Day. What girl doesn't like bling, shoes and need hope to get through each day. So I added the big bling at the bottom, the shoe charm and the ribbon that says "hope" on it.

They were a lot of fun to do and I plan on making more today. I've already started a green one with frog charms on it and my next one is going to be a pastel mix. Let me know what you think.

Jesse's Class Luggage Tags

Every time Jesse's class goes on a trip, I make tags for their bags. It just makes things a lot easier when they get back and they are all tired. You look at the tag and toss it to the very sleepy kid who is so tired they can't remember what bag they packed. LOL I used Stamp-in Up framelits for both the boys and girls tags. It was super easy and super quick. I hope you like them.
That's my very handsome son Jesse with his suitcase and sleeping bag.

Stamp-in Up Haul

I did a little shopping through stamp-in up and picked up a few stamps that will be discontinued and a few dies that they will no longer be carrying. I just thought I'd take a minute and show you the goodies that I got.

Gifts For a Friend

I wanted to make a few things for a dear friend and I really hope that she like these. All the supplies I used are mentioned in my video or come from my stash.
Journal, Balsa Box, and Corsage

Michael's Balsa Box

Mothers Day Corsage

Charm
I did end up taking the tulle out for the bow across the top of the journal and used the same lace I used for the tie closure to give it a softer and more antique look. I really hope that my friend will like this and it will bring a smile to her face.

How My Tripod is Hooked Up for Videos

For those of you who do videos to go along with your blog, I wanted to share with you how my husband hooked up my tripod so that I could make my videos. Now the only problems that I have with this set up is the new tripod I have. The head of the tripod doesn't turn all the way so that I can have my camera set up in front of me so that you see things the same was I see them. That kinda bugs me and if it I don't adjust to this new angle, I may go and invest in another tripod. But will just take down the old one and re-attach the new one. I love having my tripod off of my desk so that I don't have to work around it.
Hope this helps you all find a way to hook up your camera so that it is out of your way while you are crafting and taping.

My First Handmade Journal

This is the first journal that I've ever made. I made some mistakes and am trying to learn from them. I'd like to make more of them to give to my nieces, so I will eventually get it right. I wish I knew where the vintage paper came from because I really love it. But I was happy to use it for this project. The binding paper is from Papertrey Ink and the tulle and ribbon were from my stash. The brad on the front cover is from Stamp-in Up and is called, antique brads. The clothes pin at the top is from Michael's but was given to me in a RAK from Ana. Thanks again Ana. I really love them.

Mothers Day Corsages

I wanted to get a head start on something for my mom and my sisters for mothers day. I wanted to make them a corsage but not the typical looking corsage. I wanted it to be something that they could wear anytime they felt like it would match their outfit. My mom doesn't like real flowers because she says it's a waste of money because she hates to have to throw them away when they die. So I'm really hoping that she will like these.

I made the clay rose in the center and the pearl trim is from my stash. The rose buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts and here is the link to where you can purchase those.
Then I purchased the bases for each of the corsages from Discount Charms. Which is Drew's store from Card of my Eye and here is the link to his blog.
He has a direct link on his blog to his etsy store. I was very happy with the prices he was charging and I was able to find some things that I couldn't find at any other stores there.
I hope you like the corsages and it reminds you to get started on your Mother's Day projects.
