Gift Card Holder

This is the gift card holder I made to hold one of the gift cards I'm giving my son for Christmas. It was super easy to do and I used the Cricut Close to my Heart Artiste Cartridge. I cut the card base at 4.9 inches on my gypsy. If you don't have a gypsy you can cut it at 5 inches and that would be fine. This one uses the entire length of an 11 inch piece of paper, so if you go up to 5 inches, I would say you would need to use a 12 inch piece. Let me know what you think.
I give you all the measurements on the video encase you are interested in making one like this.

Homemade Chalking Tool

Most of you have probably seen that some chalk sets come with a tool to use to help you chalk your images with. Well, mine didn't and I couldn't find one outside of the sets of chalks. I decided I could make my own and it was very easy. So I wanted to share this video with you.
Let me know what you think.

Second I Feel the Love Project Card

Gobble Til' You Wobble

This turkey was cut with the Cricut Lite cartridge Celebrate with Flourishes. This card was made using nothing but scraps from my scrap bin. I love when I can do that. I hate to waste paper and my scrap pile is starting to get a little out of hand.

Usually when this happens I get in touch with a kid or two and bring them over to pick out some images they want to cut out from the cricut. We grab some pizza and soda's and we make a day of it. It looks like I'm going to have to start making plans for a fun filled card making day again.

The punches at the bottom of the card are from Stamp-in Up and the sentiment is computer generated. I used the Irock to attach the pretty blue gems on the top corner and "Viola" a card was made. This turkey is super easy to make and only has 3 cuts.

If you haven't checked out the I Feel the Love Project, I encourage you to do so. This month the cards are going to Surrey Place. A nursing home here in Live Oak Florida. My daughter and her friend Randa, are blessed and are going to be the ones to give out the cards this month to all the kind folks at Surrey Place when they go for Thanksgiving, to sing and spend time with the residents there.

First I Feel the Love Project Card

Gobble Til' You Wobble

This was a fun card to make. I cut the image at 4 inches because I wanted to use my Peachy Keen Critter Faces (Large). What I didn't take into account was that the imagine would not be just 4 inches tall. The tallest piece cut was 4 inches but after you put the legs and the hat on it made it 5.5 inches tall. So I decided a 6 X 6 inch card was the way to go. The patterned paper comes for an old DCWV Harvest Gathering matstack. The ribbon I used was from Papertrey Ink and matched almost perfect. I used a Stamp-in Up border punch, scalloped circle and circle punch for the computer generated sentiment. Then I added a little bit of bling and the card was done. I definitely didn't plan on my turkey being that big but I love Peachy Keen stamps so much that it made it worth it to make a bigger card.

You're A Survivor - Save The Ta Ta's

My daughter just found out that the librarian at her old high school had been diagnosed with breast cancer and asked me to make a card for her. I sure hope she likes it.

The Last of Mariah's Royal Duties

Mariah and Daddy in the parade and her other dress for the homecoming. I think this one is even more pink than the other one, if that's even possible.

She loved every minute of it. Our friend Anna was kind enough to allow them to ride on the back of her convertible. My little princess had a great day and I'm sure she will remember it forever.

Marquette's Monster

My wonderful daughter-in-law is a teacher and she needed me to make the biggest monster I could make from the "Bump in the Night Cricut Cartridge". So my monster is 11.5 inches and I used all Colorbok card stock from Wal-Mart. She is going to play a game with her class called, Pin the Eye on the Monster. So I made 1 monster and 50 eyeballs. She has 45 kids but encase someone lost their eye, I figured she might need a few extra ones. Pin the Eye on the Monster sounds a little gross to me but I know she is a great teacher and I'm sure her class will think it is fun. My son did good (great), Marquette is a true blessing to our family. Can you tell I love her - A LOT!

Nathan's Christmas Cards

Before I tell you about my cards, I'd like to let you know that I messed up with the address on the video. The state is Virginia (Va. not Av.). I really need to be a better proof reader. LOL I made two Christmas cards to share with a little boy named Nathan. He is suffering from cancer, again, and this time it has come back and is even more aggressive. I will post the link for you to check out the news story on Nathan and his address after the video. I hope you like the cards I made and that they get you inspired to make a card for Nathan too.
Here is the link so that you can go and hear about Nathan and his family.

His address is;
Nathan Norman
